Who We Are
A movement, not
just an organisation
Thrive SA Youth is a youth development movement, a business incubation initiative, and a community-powered development ecosystem. We exist to bridge the gap between young South Africans and the opportunities, mentors, resources, and support systems they need to thrive. Thrive SA Youth is an initiative of Thrive Business Incubator NPC, a registered non-profit company committed to youth development, entrepreneurship, and community impact.
Thrive SA Youth does not compete with existing organisations. We collaborate with government, municipalities, NGOs, universities, TVET colleges, employers, SETAs, funders, cultural organisations, and development partners — connecting young people to the doors that are already open, and helping them walk through.
= 11 Youth Supported
"Every young person deserves a fair shot at a future they can be proud of."
— The Thrive SA Youth Mission
The Thrive Journey
One path. Ten steps.
Limitless potential.
The Leadership Camp is just the beginning. Every step that follows builds on the last — walking young people from their first experience of leadership all the way to running a business and impacting their community.
Thrive Leadership Camp
Starting PointThe entry point for every Thrive participant. An immersive leadership experience that awakens purpose, builds identity, and introduces young people to the full Thrive journey ahead. This is where the story begins — not ends.
Mentorship
Guided GrowthEach participant is connected to a mentor — a professional, entrepreneur, or community leader who walks alongside them. Thrive collaborates with existing mentorship networks and organisations to ensure no young person navigates the journey alone.
Personal Development
CharacterBuilding the whole person — not just skills. Thrive invests in mindset, emotional intelligence, resilience, communication, and the soft skills that underpin every future success in career, business, and community.
Career Development
DirectionHelping young people understand the world of work, identify their strengths, and chart a career path. Thrive partners with educational institutions and employers to provide guidance, CV workshops, interview prep, and career exposure.
Coding & Technology
Digital SkillsEquipping young South Africans with digital literacy and coding skills needed for the 21st-century economy. Delivered in partnership with technology organisations, coding bootcamps, and education partners — making tech accessible to all.
Economic Participation
InclusionBridging the gap between youth and the formal economy. Thrive connects participants with financial literacy programmes, savings opportunities, learnerships, and economic development initiatives run by government and NGO partners.
Employment Pathways
OpportunityConnecting work-ready youth with employers who value Thrive-developed talent. Thrive is not a recruitment agency — it partners with employers, sector education bodies, and HR networks to open real doors for real young people.
Entrepreneurship Support
BuildFor those who choose to create rather than apply. Thrive supports aspiring entrepreneurs with business ideation, validation, basic business skills, and linkages to funders and incubation resources — in collaboration with existing enterprise development organisations.
Business Incubation
ScaleThe flagship offering of Thrive Business Incubator NPC. Participants with viable businesses receive structured incubation support — including mentorship from experienced entrepreneurs, access to markets, operational guidance, and a pathway toward sustainability and growth.
Community Impact
The Mission MultipliedThe journey doesn't end with personal success — it circles back to community. Thrive participants become Thrive Leaders, adopting the next generation of youth. Each leader activates a team of 10, together adopting 11 young people — and the movement grows.
How Thrive Works
We collaborate,
never compete
Thrive SA Youth does not duplicate what others are already doing well. Instead, we serve as a bridge — connecting young people to the organisations, employers, funders, and systems that can genuinely change their lives.
Thrive SA Youth partners with government departments, municipalities, NGOs, universities, TVET colleges, employers, SETAs, cultural organisations, entrepreneurship organisations, and development partners. We add value by activating young people and guiding them toward the right doors — then helping them walk through.
What We Offer
Ten pathways.
One journey.
Every Thrive participant moves through the full journey. These ten programme pathways are the building blocks — each one unlocking the next, together forming a complete development experience from leadership to business incubation.
Leadership Development
The foundation of everything Thrive does. Participants discover their leadership identity, develop accountability, and learn to lead from where they are — not just where they hope to be. Delivered through the flagship Thrive Leadership Camp and ongoing leadership formation.
Mentorship
Every Thrive participant is paired with a mentor — a professional, entrepreneur, or community leader who provides guidance, accountability, and lived experience. Thrive collaborates with existing mentorship networks so no young person walks the journey alone.
Personal Development
Building the whole person. Thrive invests in mindset, emotional intelligence, resilience, communication, and the life skills that underpin every career and business outcome. Because skills without character don't last.
Career Development
Helping young people understand the world of work, identify their strengths, and chart a clear career path. Thrive partners with educational institutions and employers to deliver career guidance, CV workshops, interview preparation, and industry exposure.
Coding & Technology
Digital skills for the 21st-century economy. Delivered in collaboration with technology organisations, coding bootcamps, and ed-tech partners — making coding, digital literacy, and tech entrepreneurship accessible to young South Africans from all backgrounds.
Talent Development, Creative Arts & Cultural Participation
Every young person carries a gift — and Thrive creates space for it to be seen, developed, and celebrated. From visual arts and performing arts to sports development and cultural participation, Thrive builds safe, affirming environments where youth can express themselves, develop creative entrepreneurship skills, and contribute to community talent showcases. No gift is too small. No stage is too local.
Economic Participation
Bridging the gap between youth and the formal economy. Thrive connects participants with financial literacy, savings tools, learnerships, and economic development initiatives run by government, SETAs, and NGO partners — ensuring inclusion, not just access.
Employment Pathways
Connecting work-ready youth with employers who value Thrive-developed talent. Thrive is not a recruitment agency — it partners with companies, HR networks, and sector bodies to open real employment doors for prepared young people ready to contribute from day one.
Entrepreneurship Support
For those who choose to create rather than apply. Thrive supports aspiring young entrepreneurs with business ideation, concept validation, basic business skills, and early-stage planning. In collaboration with enterprise development organisations, Thrive helps youth take their first confident steps toward building something of their own.
Business Incubation
The flagship offering of Thrive Business Incubator NPC. Participants with viable businesses enter a structured incubation programme — receiving mentorship from experienced entrepreneurs, access to markets and networks, operational guidance, funder linkages, and a clear pathway toward sustainable, growing enterprises.
All programmes are delivered in partnership with existing organisations, institutions, and community networks.
The Adopt 11 Youth Model
One community changes
eleven futures
The Thrive model is not about numbers — it is about developing leaders who help guide others. Sponsors, partners, employers, funders, parents, communities and supporters create the opportunities. Thrive Leaders and their teams help young people access and navigate the Thrive journey.
Trained. Equipped. Committed.
Mobilised. Accountable. Active.
Guided. Walked with. Seen.
who together guide and support 11 Youth through the journey —
each of whom becomes the next Thrive Leader.
This is not a recruitment funnel. It is a leadership development cycle. The goal is not to grow a database — it is to grow people who grow people, multiplying the Thrive movement organically, sustainably, and nationally.
Are you ready to become a Thrive Leader?
The greatest thing you can do after your own Thrive journey is to turn around and help guide others through theirs. Thrive Leaders are trained, supported, and connected — equipped to walk alongside eleven young people as they discover purpose, develop skills, and build futures they are proud of.
The Thrive Multiplication Effect
When opportunity is shared,
impact multiplies
Thrive is powered by a growing ecosystem of people and organisations who believe in the potential of South Africa's youth. Through this community of support, young people access the full Thrive journey — and as they grow, they give back, creating a cycle of opportunity that transforms communities and moves the nation forward.
Youth
Powered by this growing ecosystem
This is not a recruitment model.
It is a community-powered development model.
It is a movement where families, communities, businesses,
employers, sponsors, partners and young people
work together to build a future where
more young South Africans can thrive.
Every sponsor, mentor, employer and partner who invests in a young person through Thrive creates a ripple that extends far beyond the individual. The Thrive ecosystem transforms single acts of generosity into collective momentum.
Young people who are developed, employed, and incubated become the builders of their own communities — creating jobs, mentoring others, building businesses, and leading change from within the places they call home.
South Africa's greatest resource is its young people. When they are equipped, supported, and given a fair shot, they do not just succeed individually — they carry their families, communities, and ultimately the nation with them. That is the Thrive vision.

Thrive collaborates — not competes. If you represent a government department, NGO, educational institution, employer, SETA, or community organisation already serving youth, let's explore how Thrive can complement and amplify your existing work.
Sponsor & Funder Interest
